今日は子供が発熱したと学校から電話があり、出社後まもなく早退。金曜だし終わらせたかった仕事がたくさんあったのに. . .と思いつつも可愛いわが子には何も変えられません。上司や同僚も理解のある方ばかりで「早く迎えに行ってあげてね」「代われる仕事があったらやっておくよ」「今の時期は特に仕方ないよね」など声をかけてくださり感謝しかないです。ということで日中は看病でバタバタだったため寝る前にDuolingoをしました。
I got a call from the school today saying that my child had a fever, so I had to leave work shortly after arriving.It’s Friday, and there were so many things I wanted to finish… but nothing is more important than my child.I’m truly grateful for my boss and coworkers—they’re all so understanding.They told me things like, “Go pick them up right away,” “If there’s anything I can take over, I will,” and “It can’t be helped, especially at this time of year.”Their kindness really means a lot to me.Since I was busy taking care of my child all day, I did Duolingo before going to bed.
