はじめに｜今回の韓国旅行について/Introduction | About This Trip to Korea
先日、70歳を迎えた母の古希祝いで2泊3日で韓国へ旅行に行ってきました。
メンバーは母、私、夫、小学生の子供2人の計5人です。海外旅行は久しぶりだったので少し不安もありましたが、実際に行ってみると、街の雰囲気や人の優しさに触れてとても楽しい時間になりました。
Recently, we went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Korea to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday (Koki celebration).
There were five of us: my mother, myself, my husband, and our two elementary school–aged children.
It had been a long time since our last overseas trip, so we felt a little nervous at first. However, once we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the atmosphere of the city and the kindness of the people, and it turned into a truly enjoyable experience.

・子供の推し活を応援！
・久しぶりの海外を満喫すること！
が目的の旅行です。
実際に行ってみて感じたことや、良かった点・困った点も正直にまとめてみました。
The purpose of this trip was:
- To see my mother happy
- To support my children’s “oshi-katsu” (fan activities)
- To enjoy traveling abroad again after a long time
In this post, I’ve honestly shared what we experienced, including what we loved and a few things that didn’t go quite as planned.
スケジュールざっくり紹介/Our Rough Schedule
1日目
・空港到着
・ホテルへ移動
・夜ごはん＆街を少し散策
Day 1
Dinner & a short walk around the neighborhood
Arrival at the airport
Transfer to the hotel
移動で疲れてとりあえず近くのマックへ。韓国限定のプルコギバーガーをいただきました。子供はハッピーミール。日本にはないパイナップルを選べて喜んでいました。注文はキオスクで英語で注文。英語やってて良かった◎
We were tired from traveling, so we went to a nearby McDonald’s first.
I tried the Korea-only Bulgogi Burger, while the kids had Happy Meals. They were excited because they could choose pineapple, which isn’t available in Japan.We ordered using a kiosk in English.Moments like this made me think, “I’m glad I’ve been studying English!” ◎
マックの後に夜の街を散歩。ドーナツ屋さんを発見。あんこなしとあんこ入りの両方を買いました。両方とももっちもちで美味しかったです！私はあんこの入ったドーナツが特に美味しかったです。途中トッポキを売っているお店があってトッポキをゲット。ホテルに帰って食べると、旨辛でした～！After that, we took a walk around the area at night and found a donut shop.
We bought both plain donuts and ones filled with sweet red bean paste. Both were chewy and delicious, but I especially loved the red bean one!On the way back, we found a shop selling tteokbokki, so of course we had to get some. We ate it back at the hotel—it was spicy and delicious!
帰りにコンビニでゲット。We also stopped by a convenience store.

さくさくチョコとヨーグルトが合っていて美味しかったです！
and then you snap it like this and pour the chocolate into the yogurt.The crunchy chocolate and yogurt went perfectly together. So good!
2日目/Day 2
・観光（景福宮）Sightseeing (Gyeongbokgung Palace)
ちょうどAPEC。POLICEもたくさんいました。It happened to be during APEC, so there were many police officers around.
じゃじゃーん！Ta-da!
みんなで韓服に着替えて景福宮へ。母も素敵な韓服を自分で選び写真撮影を満喫しました。
2時間のレンタルでちょうど帰ろうとしていたところ、交代儀式に参加されていた警備役の方(この表現が合っているか分かりませんが)とみんなで写真を撮ることができました。現地の方と写真を撮れたことでグッと深い思い出となりました！We all changed into hanbok and visited Gyeongbokgung Palace.My mother chose her own hanbok and truly enjoyed taking photos.Just as our 2-hour rental time was ending, we were lucky enough to take photos with the guards who were participating in the changing-of-the-guard ceremony (I’m not sure if that’s the correct term).Taking pictures with locals made the experience feel even more special and memorable.
・推し活(聖水)/Fan Activities (Seongsu)
子供が大好きなSnowManさんのしょっぴーさん、ラウールさん、めめさんが訪れたベーグル屋「KOKKILI BAGEL」へ。子供から影響を受け私たち夫婦もSnowManさんが好きで全員の名前が言えるようになりました！母はピンク髪のさっくんさんだけ知っていました！We then visited KOKKILI BAGEL, a bagel shop that members of Snow Man—Shoppy, Raul, and Meme—had visited.Because of our kids, my husband and I also became fans, and now we can name all the members!My mother only knew Sakuma because of his pink hair 😊
店内はたくさんのベーグルが！どれもおいしそう。お客さんもたくさんいました。The shop was filled with so many delicious-looking bagels, and it was very crowded.
お客さんが多くて外も2階も座るところがなく、注文したベーグルのお皿を持って行ったり来たりウロウロしていると、なんとSnowManさんが座っていたあの窓際の席がちょうど空きました！
誰も座る方がいなかったので、奇跡だ～✨と座らせていただきました。子供たちも大喜びで写真を撮ってご満悦でした。そんな子供たちを見て母も嬉しそうでした。ベーグルも見た目以上にボリュームがあり、美味しくてかなりお腹いっぱいになりました！ずっしり＆もちもちでした。There were no seats available outside or on the second floor, so we were walking around holding our plates…And then—miraculously—the window seat where Snow Man had once sat became available!No one else took it, so we sat down, thinking, “This is a miracle!” ✨
The kids were overjoyed and took lots of photos. Seeing their happiness made my mother smile too.The bagels were much more filling than they looked—chewy, hearty, and absolutely delicious. We were completely full afterward!
3日目/Day 3

行ってよかった！楽しかったこと/Things We Loved About the Trip
◆ 韓国の街の雰囲気が楽しい/◆ The Fun Atmosphere of the City
街を歩いているだけで楽しく、写真を撮りたくなる場所がたくさんありました。
カフェも多く、どこもおしゃれでつい長居してしまいます。Just walking around the city was exciting, with so many spots that made us want to take photos.There are cafés everywhere, all stylish, and it’s easy to stay longer than planned.
◆韓国の方の優しさが身に染みる/◆ The Kindness of Korean People
また別で書きたいと思いますが、いろんな場面で韓国の方に助けていただきました。
日本に帰ってきても思い出すのは人とのふれあいだったりします。I’d like to write about this in more detail another time, but we were helped by Korean people in many situations.
Even after returning to Japan, what stays with me most are those warm human interactions.
◆ 英語が通じてちょっと安心/◆ Feeling Reassured That English Worked
韓国語はほとんど話せませんが、お店や観光地では英語が通じる場面も多く、思っていたより安心でした。海外で英語が通じたときは、やっぱり嬉しいですね☺️「英語を少しでも続けていてよかった」と感じました。I hardly speak Korean, but in many shops and tourist areas, English was understood, which made us feel more at ease than expected.It’s always a nice feeling when English works overseas. 😊I truly felt, “I’m glad I’ve kept studying English, even just a little.”
困ったこと・ちょっとしたトラブル/Small Troubles & Challenges
楽しい旅でしたが、実は少し困ったこともありました。
・電車の遅延💦/Train delay 💦
空港へ向かう電車が途中で遅れて少し焦りました。海外では時間に余裕をもつ大切さを改めて実感。The train to the airport was delayed, which made us a bit anxious.It reminded us how important it is to allow extra time when traveling abroad.
・eSIMがうまく使えなかった💦/eSIM didn’t work properly 💦
事前に準備していたeSIMが、私のスマホではうまく使えず…。一緒に申し込んだ夫のスマホは使えたので、機種との相性もありそう？です。The eSIM I prepared in advance didn’t work on my phone.It worked fine on my husband’s phone, so it might depend on the device.
・ホテルの予約名が1文字違っていた💦/Hotel reservation name was off by one letter 💦
チェックイン時に名前が違っていて一瞬ヒヤッとしましたが、無事に確認できて宿泊できました。At check-in, the name didn’t match exactly, which was a little scary at first.Thankfully, everything was confirmed and we were able to stay without any issues.

まとめ｜また行きたい韓国旅行/Conclusion | A Trip to Korea We Want to Take Again
久しぶりの韓国旅行でしたが、
・街歩きが楽しい
・ごはんがおいしい
・人が優しい
と、改めて「また行きたいな」と思える旅になりました。
It had been a while since our last trip to Korea, but once again we were reminded that:
- Walking around the city is fun
- The food is delicious
- The people are kind
All of this made us think, “We definitely want to come back.”
トラブルもありましたが、それも含めていい思い出です。
70歳の母も小学生も一緒に楽しめるちょうどいい距離の海外旅行。
これから韓国旅行を予定している方の参考になれば嬉しいです😊
Even the small troubles became part of our good memories.
Korea is a perfect overseas destination where a 70-year-old grandmother and elementary school children can enjoy traveling together.
